PERFECT SURFACE PREPARATION
Q²M Prep is a necessary supplement for preparing a vehicle for coating application. It allows the elimination of any oily residues, thus creating a smooth, anti static surface. Q²M Prep has strong cleansing and degreasing properties owing to which the preparation of the vehicle for any detailing activities becomes much easier and more efficient.
ADVICE ON APPLICATION AND PRECAUTIONS
Ceramic coatings require excellent surface preparation. The preparation procedure is common for all coatings and demands strong and effective degreasing. Also, all polish paste residue needs to be removed – this is a crucial point of preparation. To achieve this result, use Q²M Prep. When applying, use a soft microfiber towel. Spray on the towel or on the surface. Wipe gently in straight motion. If necessary, repeat the action. Keep out of reach of children. Seek medical attention if swallowed.
Remove caked on compounds
GYEON Prep is also highly beneficial during the compounding stage. At times, polish oils can fill and conceal light swirl marks, and Prep is designed to remove all the oils, revealing any underlying defects.
Can also assist in the removal of caked-on compounds; this may occur due to applying excessive force or generating too much heat.
Tip: Remember, Prep is not limited to paint and can also be used on interior surfaces in preparation for applying an interior coating.
No. APCs, degreasers, or chemicals, in general, commonly leave chemical residues behind. In contrast, Prep will leave no residues behind.
It's not optimal. The reason is that diluted 50/50 IPA can evaporate too quickly to perform meaningful work, whereas Prep can sit on the surface for a longer period without evaporating too quickly. If IPA is incorrectly mixed, it can leave a white haze behind, most noticeable on plastics.
Again, it's not optimal. Washing can still leave mineral deposits and other soap residues behind. We still suggest doing a quick Prep wipe down even after washing. Since you're this far into the rabbit hole, might as well do it properly!
