Descale Foam Shampoo Maniac Line is a 2-in-1 descaling acid shampoo, designed to eliminate limescale contamination that dulls the bodywork.
The term “descaling” refers to the product’s ability to dissolve and remove mineral deposits, such as limescale, that form on the car’s surface. This allows you to restore the original shine of the paint and maintain the effectiveness of previously applied nanotechnological sealants and coatings.
Descale Foam Shampoo is a valid ally for eliminating mineral deposits after a sandy rain or for removing stains left after a snowfall. It can also be applied to remove annoying stains caused by an incorrect car washing or drying phase.
Thanks to its formula that produces a dense foam, Descale Foam Shampoo offers high lubrication, ensuring a safe and delicate wash thanks to the “Pillow Foam” technique that reduces the risk of creating scratches and abrasions on the paintwork, together with the use of the microfibre glove.
Specifically designed to remove limescale and mineral contamination, this shampoo works effectively eliminating deposits that can dull the paintwork and reduce the effectiveness of protectors. Its chemical action breaks the bonds of mineral deposits, allowing them to be easily eliminated with a simple wash. It is ideal for removing intense dirt and regenerating plastics and chrome, giving your car an impeccable appearance.
Also perfect for those who live in areas with hard and mineral-rich water, this anti-limescale car shampoo can be used both for a maintenance wash and as a preparatory treatment for the bodywork during the mechanical decontamination phase for the subsequent polishing or wax or coating application phase. With Descale Foam Shampoo, the bodywork will regain a shine like new thanks to the deep decontamination action offered by its acid pH, and the protectors applied subsequently will last longer.
If you want to further improve the lubrication when washing your car, a simple trick is to add 1 or 2 capfuls of Descale Foam Shampoo to the “Wash” bucket. This addition will ensure a smoother action, making it easier for the mitt to pass over the surface of the vehicle, minimising friction and, consequently, the risk of scratches.
In case of particular conditions, such as after a sandy rain that leaves more stubborn residues on the bodywork, you can increase the dose to 3 capfuls. This will ensure greater ability to lift and remove the most difficult dirt, making the wash even more effective and ensuring extra protection for your car’s paintwork. The car will be cleaned in a safer and more delicate way, maintaining the shine and quality of the paintwork intact.
Once the foam has been applied, proceed with the manual washing, delicately passing a microfiber glove directly over the foam. Thanks to the soft and enveloping consistency of the foam, this technique minimizes direct contact between the glove and the paintwork, acting as a real “cushion” that prevents any accidental scratches. This method is particularly suitable for those who want to obtain a deep and safe cleaning, maintaining the integrity and shine of the bodywork without risking damaging it.
How to use:
Prewash: In case of very dirty car, perform an alkaline prewash with Foam Gun Prewash to eliminate coarse dirt.
Dilutions:
- Can be used with a foam gun or manual sprayer such as our Nebula Foam 2.0.
- With Foam Gun on stubborn dirt, dilute 1:5; for normal dirt, dilute 1:10.
- With Nebula Foam 2.0, dilute 1 litre of water and 1 capful of product, then using the orange nozzle.
HOW TO USE:
Pillow Foam Technique (foam cushion):
- Cover the surface of the car with plenty of foam. This will act as a “cushion”, minimising the risk of accidental scratches on the bodywork when using the microfibre glove.
- Without rinsing the foam, dilute 3 to 5 caps of product in 5 litres of water in the “Wash” bucket, depending on the contamination present, and proceed as a normal car wash with the Double Face microfibre glove or with a microfibre pad such as our Comfort Car Wash Pad.
Rinsing and drying:
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with the Super Dryer microfibre cloth
Helpful tips:
- Add 1-2 caps of shampoo to the Wash bucket for greater lubrication of the foam, or 3 caps to remove stains caused by sandy rain.
- For maintenance washing, use the Descale Foam Shampoo with Pillow Foam Technique alternating with a neutral shampoo such as our Neutral Foam Shampoo.
- When preparing the bodywork for polishing or applying waxes, sealants and protectors, Descale Foam Shampoo can be used after decontaminating the car with Iron Remover for a subsequent mechanical decontamination phase.
Cleaning Maintenance of rims and removal of intense dirt:
- Dilute Descale Foam Shampoo 1:10 in the graduated bottle.
- For the maintenance of rims, after a deep cleaning with Wheel & Tyre Cleaner spray diluted Descale Foam Shampoo, leave it to act for a few seconds, then rinse thoroughly.
- Use a soft bristle brush to reach the gaps such as parts of the rim that are difficult to clean, plastic and chrome.
- On the lower parts of the bodywork, in the presence of more intense limescale stains, always spray the product diluted 1:10, leave it to act for a few seconds and proceed with the Pillow Foam technique for a complete wash.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendations: – Use the product in the shade and never on hot surfaces. – In the presence of limescale on the car, we recommend proceeding as soon as possible with its removal using our Descale Foam Shampoo. In fact, if not removed promptly, limescale tends to build up on the bodywork. Once it builds up, it becomes more difficult to remove and may cause permanent damage by penetrating the paint, often making polishing necessary to restore the car’s shine. To avoid these complications, we recommend treating the car with Descale Foam Shampoo as soon as possible for a quick and easy removal of limescale. – Always pre-wash first using Neutral Foam Shampoo on normal dirt or Foam Gun PreWash for cars with stubborn dirt. EXTRA TIPS To obtain the best results with Descale Foam Shampoo, it is important to apply it in the shade and never on a hot surface. This helps prevent the product from drying too quickly, compromising the effectiveness of the wash. We recommend carrying out this type of wash as soon as possible, especially if your car has limescale deposits. Prompt intervention reduces the risk of limescale stratification on the bodywork, making cleaning easier and protecting the paintwork. Before proceeding with Descale Foam Shampoo, always pre-wash with our Foam Gun Prewash, so as to remove the largest dirt and best prepare the surface for the next wash.
